Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in the US seeks a Sr. Designer, I&C to join our team of experts delivering high-quality industrial facility projects.

You will design panels, planview drawings, BIM models, and IO schedules; mentor juniors; coordinate with other disciplines; travel for installations and startup. Must have at least eight years of experience, strong Revit, knowledge of ISA/NEC/NFPA/UL508A, and documentation like P&IDs and conduit sizing.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant experience minimum.
• Strong experience with Revit.
• Industrial facilities project experience focusing on quality, cost, safety.
• Knowledge of ISA standards, NEC, NFPA, UL508A.
• Instrumentation, control systems, and panel design expertise.
• Proficiency in calculations for wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements.
• Two-year degree with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design panels, planview drawings, BIM models for industrial facilities.
• Mentor junior professionals to industry standards.
• Lead a design team to manage project execution.
• Develop IO wire pull schedules and conduit/wire sizing.
• Create I&C construction drawings (P&IDs, panel drawings, schematics).
• Review vendor submittals and specifications.
• Provide on-site assessment and startup support.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across offices.
