Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. seeks a Sr. Designer, I&C to join our Design Group in the US. You will collaborate with engineers and designers on capital projects, developing I&C deliverables such as P&IDs, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams for industrial facilities.

You will mentor junior staff, apply ISA/NEC standards, and contribute to construction drawings and vendor submittals. The role requires strong Revit skills, AutoCAD proficiency, and travel for project needs as described.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Revit experience on industrial projects.
• Knowledge of ISA, NEC, NFPA, UL508A standards.
• Proficient with wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill.
• Experience preparing I&C datasheets and IO lists.
• AutoCAD and 3D modeling in Revit proficiency.
• Willingness to travel for project needs.
• Two-year degree with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects with I&C design deliverables.
• Design panels, planview drawings, BIM models for facilities.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineers.
• Develop IO wire pull schedules and conduit sizing calculations.
• Create P&IDs, schematics, and installation details.
• Review vendor submittals and technical docs.
• Provide on-site assessment and startup support as needed.
• Collaborate across offices and engineering disciplines.
