Job summary

Audubon seeks an Instrument Engineering Manager for its South Houston, TX office. You will lead engineers and supervisors on electrical and instrumentation design for complex projects, managing budgets and schedules to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires extensive multi-discipline project leadership, a PE license, and strong client relationship skills to foster repeat business. You will mentor staff and ensure HSSE compliance across all deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • PE license required.
  • 20+ years of experience preferred.
  • Large multi-disciplinary project lead experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience within an engineering environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISA, NEC and API design codes.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with direct reports, clients, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee design quality and technical accuracy across deliverables.
  • Maintain adherence to HSSE standards and safety requirements.
  • Guide risk management and cost-saving opportunities in design.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and construction schedules.
  • Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and salary decisions.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and repeat business opportunities.
  • Approve time entries and expense reports according to policies.
