Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an experienced Inside Sales/Customer Service professional to determine and meet customer needs. You will build relationships, quote and process orders, and help manage inventory for consignment accounts from multiple sources.

The role emphasizes accurate transactions, guidance to junior staff, and occasional customer-site work, supporting branch and distribution center operations daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries, provides quotes, and takes orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for Consignment customers.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Negotiate price within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Generate sales by actively promoting Motion Industries’ products.
• Mentor lower level employees and support operations when needed.
• Handle returns and assist with order placement up to policy limits.
• Coordinate with account representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
