Job summary

Motion Industries seeks an experienced Customer Service/Sales Associate to determine customer needs and ensure accurate order processing. The role emphasizes relationship-building within customer organizations and merchandizing products to maximize gross profit.

It requires handling orders at the counter and coordinating with suppliers and branches. You will contribute to a high-performing team, mentor junior staff, and handle multiple tasks such as quoting, inventory checks, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and five or more years of related experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Moderate computer skills and proficiency with business systems and email.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take orders by phone, fax, email, or in person.
• Maintain inventory levels for Consignment customers and source items from various inventories.
• Negotiate pricing within approved parameters to support gross profit.
• Proactively generate sales by promoting products to existing customers and expediting backorders.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff and support Operations Manager as needed.
• Assist customers by troubleshooting via phone or email to identify correct parts.
