Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Inside Sales professional in Macon, GA to respond to inquiries, quote, and take orders while maintaining consignments and inventory levels. You will source products, promote items, and help reduce backorders, acting as a mentor to junior staff and supporting operations as needed.

The role emphasizes customer service, cross-functional collaboration, and accurate transactions, with exposure to pricing and supplier interactions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
Reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Moderate computer skills and proficiency with email and internet search.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
Process orders and ensure inventory levels for consignments are maintained.
Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories and identify Motion Industries assets.
Promote products to existing customers and help accelerate backorders.
Mentor/lead junior staff and support operations as needed.
Handle returns and may pull inventory for shipment; place orders up to allowed limits.
