Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient DRG coding experience in acute care.
• 3+ years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify assignment of ICD-10 CM/PCS, DRG, and abstraction per guidelines.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity per Optum standards.
• Query physicians when appropriate and participate in coding department meetings.
