Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Innovation Portfolio Strategy Principal to identify opportunities, translate ideas into profitable business initiatives, and guide senior executives on strategic directions.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, design, engineering, clinical, and operations across enterprise-wide programs. The candidate will lead development efforts for the clinical and population health sub-portfolio, drive go-to-market strategies, and influence data-driven decision making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of technical experience, clinical strategy, consulting, or innovation with a focus on digital/population health products.
• 2-3 years of leadership/project management experience.
• 3+ years of health care experience focused on Medicare populations.
• Experience with healthcare data and analytics, contemporary technologies, and care delivery models.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships including executives and external vendors.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of the clinical and population health sub-portfolio of solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business partners and member needs.
• Lead and develop junior team members as a manager and leader in cross-functional teams.
• Translate ideation into strategic direction and project plans; pilot launch.
• Partner with external digital health companies to launch products or programs.
• Define KPIs and plans for data ingestion and optimization to meet customer needs.
• Develop and execute a Go-to-Market strategy with national and regional leadership input.
• Advise on product management processes and tools; demonstrate best practices.
• Deliver high-quality recommendations connecting portfolio to Medicare growth objectives.
• Foster startup mindset and agile practices across the Medicare segment.
