Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Innovation Portfolio Strategy Principal to identify innovation opportunities and translate ideas into profitable business initiatives.

You will provide strategic guidance across functional teams and collaborate with senior executives on enterprise-wide strategies. You will oversee the clinical and population health sub-portfolio, lead cross-functional teams, and drive go-to-market plans while leveraging data-driven decision frameworks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical experience, clinical strategy, consulting, or innovation with a specific focus on digital and/or population health products
• 2-3 years of leadership/project management experience
• 3+ years of health care experience focused on Medicare populations
• Experience and understanding of healthcare data and analytics, contemporary technologies, managed care administrative functions and care delivery models
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships including executive and management of audiences, and external vendors
• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with experience identifying trends and actionable insights

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of the clinical and population health sub-portfolio of solutions; leading development of high-profile and high-impact solutions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business partners and member needs
• Lead and develop junior members of the team – both as a direct manager and as a leader within cross-functional solution development teams
• Translate ideation and discovery work into actionable strategic direction and project plans
• Leverage data-driven framework for buy/build/partner decisions and co-develop with external digital health companies to launch product or program
• Define KPIs and path to incremental value and work with partners on data ingestion and optimization
• Develop and execute Go to Market strategies across national and market leadership teams
• Advise on product management processes and tools; demonstrate best practices
• Apply advanced quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills
• Deliver high-quality recommendations linking portfolio to Medicare segment growth
• Champion startup mindset and agile ways of working across Medicare segment
