• Two years of experience as a Corrections Records Specialist (Commonwealth job title) or one year as Records Specialist 2.
• Four years of clerical or correctional custodial experience with two years in specialized records work in a correctional facility.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with two years in specialized records work in a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate record systems and guide staff maintaining information.
• Collect information, review court documents, and update inmate records accurately.
• Interview, photograph, and fingerprint inmates following proper procedures.
• Manage work assignments, provide training, and support staff performance.
• Arrange inmate transports and verify authorizations for releases and temporary absences.
• Represent the Department at hearings and provide testimony related to identity and sentence status.
