Job summary

Micron Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Mold Tooling Manager to lead on- floor mold making, maintenance, and tooling projects in Fitchburg, MA. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership with a focus on mold reliability and process improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of mold tooling experience, strong GD&T and blueprint skills, and a proven ability to mentor Tool Room staff while coordinating with engineering, quality, and production teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in hands-on injection mold making or tooling.
• Experience building, repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting molds.
• Strong understanding of mold components, cooling, venting and ejection systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for injection mold tooling operations.
• Coordinate new mold builds, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Identify tooling failures and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor Mold Makers and Tool Room staff on tooling best practices.
• Collaborate with Process Techs, Engineering, QA and Production.
