Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a hands-on Tooling Engineering Manager to lead the Tool Room and Mold Making operations. This role combines technical leadership with daily hands-on mold work to solve tooling challenges and support new mold builds.

You will mentor mold makers and apprentices, drive continuous improvement, and develop the next generation of skilled tool room personnel in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on mold making and tooling experience.
• Experience building, repairing, and maintaining injection molds.
• Proven leadership and mentoring in tool room.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mold Makers on mold construction and troubleshooting.
• Mentor and train mold makers and technicians.
• Develop technical talent and future mold makers.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training in the Tool Room.
• Direct daily tool room operations to support production.
