H. T. PROF Group in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Mold Tooling Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for design and production of medical cable assemblies and connector components, with emphasis on injection-molded parts.

You will oversee internal tool shop and coordinate with external mold shops, conduct DFM reviews, ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency, and drive tooling concepts from gating to surface finishes while supporting global partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mold design, tooling, or toolmaking.
• Associate degree or higher in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an internal tool shop, coordinating with toolmakers and mold design engineers.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews to ensure optimal product designs.
• Design and evaluate injection molds for medical connector components and cable assemblies.
• Develop and support tooling concepts, including gating, venting, cooling, and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-efficient.
• Work closely with external mold shops, both domestic and offshore, throughout the tool design and qualification process.
• Assist in resolving tooling-related issues and facilitate design updates as needed.
