CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Ingredient Buyer to purchase commodities and ingredients for our feed manufacturing facilities across the U.S. This remote role emphasizes written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a passion for supply chain excellence.

Preferably located in or near Sioux Falls, SD or St. Paul, MN, but remote work is available. You will collaborate with Global Grain Marketing and CHS Hedging to optimize costs and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.

Responsabilités

• Review and select best suppliers; evaluate sources based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery to keep orders on time.
• Create purchase orders and contracts; place orders in the ERP.
• Communicate with vendors on quality discrepancies and issues.
• Coordinate with Global Grain Marketing to optimize cost and product lines.
• Build relationships with Plant Managers and Production Teams.
• Develop purchasing strategies for feed ingredients.
• Maintain safety policies and identify workplace hazards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
