Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Ingredient Buyer to manage sourcing of feed ingredients for our U.S. facilities. This remote role emphasizes written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a passion for supply chain excellence.

Preferably located in Sioux Falls, SD or St. Paul, MN area, but remote candidates may apply. You will review suppliers, negotiate terms, place orders in ERP, and collaborate with plant managers to optimize cost and availability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Animal Science/Nutrition/Ag Business/related field.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and select the best sources of supply and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery of feed ingredients.
• Place orders and complete purchase orders in the ERP.
• Communicate ingredient supply issues to other functions and Purchasing manager.
• Work with Global Grain Marketing to reduce cost of goods.
• Build strong relationships with Plant Managers and Production Teams.
