Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Ingredient Buyer for a remote opportunity to manage ingredient sourcing for feed manufacturing facilities across the U.S. The role emphasizes written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and passion for the work.

Preferably located within Sioux Falls, SD or St. Paul, MN area, but remote nationwide options exist. You will collaborate with Global Grain Marketing and CHS Hedging to optimize costs and ensure timely orders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in feed industry preferred; ingredient purchasing and logistics knowledge.
• Pre-employment screening may be required per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and select sources of supply and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery of feed ingredients.
• Create purchase orders and contracts; place orders in the ERP.
• Coordinate with Global Grain Marketing to reduce cost of goods.
• Develop purchasing strategies for ingredients.
• Maintain safety culture and follow safety policies.
• Build relationships with Plant Managers and Production Teams.
