Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Ingredient Buyer to procure commodities and ingredients for our feed manufacturing facilities across the U.S. This remote role emphasizes written and verbal communication, detail orientation and a passion for supply chain excellence.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the animal nutrition industry, strong vendor management skills and the ability to develop sourcing strategies while ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and select the best sources of supply and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery of feed ingredients.
• Create purchase orders and contracts; place orders with vendors in ERP.
• Communicate ingredient supply issues to relevant teams; work with Purchasing manager.
