Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Ingredient Buyer to source commodities and ingredients for our feed manufacturing facilities across the United States. The role emphasizes written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering reliable supply chains.

Preferred locations include the Sioux Falls, SD or St. Paul, MN area, with a remote-friendly approach as needed. The candidate will partner with Global Grain Marketing, manage vendor relationships, and develop purchasing

Qualifications

• 4+ years in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing or commodity trading/merchandising.
• Experience in feed ingredient purchasing and logistics.
• Ability to develop purchasing strategies and manage supplier relations.

Responsibilities

• Review and select best sources of supply and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery of feed ingredients.
• Place orders and complete purchase orders in ERP.
• Communicate supply issues to purchasing and production teams.
• Collaborate with Global Grain Marketing to optimize costs.
• Build strong relationships with Plant Managers and Production Teams.
