Job summary

Polymarket is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale, and operate the platform's core systems. You will own end-to-end infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters, cloud resources, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling to keep production reliable and fast.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional infrastructure/platform/DevOps engineering experience at a high-traffic environment.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with Go or Python.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud providers, including networking, IAM, compute, and storage.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) and CI/CD systems.
• Comfortable debugging complex distributed production systems on Linux and owning reliability.
• Plus: experience operating infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency, or financial trading systems.
• Plus: familiarity with service mesh, GitOps, or multi-cluster/multi-region architectures.
• Plus: observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).

Responsibilities

• Own core infrastructure: design, build, and operate the Kubernetes-based platform that runs Polymarket’s services.
• Build for scale and reliability: autoscaling, load balancing, service discovery, and disaster recovery.
• Automate everything: write production-grade code to manage infrastructure as code and remove toil.
• Strengthen CI/CD: maintain fast, reliable deployment pipelines.
• Drive observability and incident response: monitoring, logging, alerting, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis.
• Manage cloud infrastructure: optimize AWS/GCP footprint for cost, performance and security.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: work with backend, exchange, and product teams to support performance and growth.
