A scaling startup is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to manage a Kubernetes-based platform. You will be responsible for improving developer velocity, production reliability, and cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code. Ideal candidates should have cloud experience and strong automation skills, particularly in Terraform or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation).
• CI/CD experience and a pragmatic approach to reliability and on‑call.
• Comfort with Linux, networking fundamentals, and debugging distributed systems.
• Ability to automate with code (Python/Go/Bash).

Join a scaling startup building systems that need to stay fast, reliable, and cost-efficient as usage ramps. We’re hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to own a Kubernetes-based platform-improving developer velocity, production reliability, and the cloud foundations we scale on.

What you’ll do

• Own and evolve our Kubernetes platform (cluster lifecycle, upgrades, networking, autoscaling, policies).
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC-first).
• Improve CI/CD and release safety (progressive delivery, rollbacks, guardrails).
• Drive reliability: observability, alerting, incident response, and postmortems that lead to fixes.
• Improve performance and cost: capacity planning, right-sizing, and spend visibility.
• Strengthen security across IAM, secrets, image hygiene, and runtime hardening.
• Support production databases when needed (backups, migrations, basic performance tuning).
• Scaling clusters and services without creating operational drag.
• Standardizing environments so teams ship faster with fewer surprises.
• Building observability that surfaces issues before customers notice.
• Keeping cloud spend predictable while scaling quickly.
