Job summary

Polymarket is hiring a senior growth infrastructure engineer in New York to design, build, and maintain the scalable infra that powers onboarding, referrals, and user acquisition. You will own critical surfaces, harden systems for reliability, and partner with growth teams to move quickly without breaking production.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in infrastructure or platforms, a track record under real growth pressure, and a bias for end-to-end ownership and proactive incident reduction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infra or platform engineering, with ownership in production.
• Proven ability to ship systems under real user-growth pressure.
• Comfort owning systems end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Experience reducing incidents and identifying bottlenecks in data pipelines.
• Judgment balancing shipping velocity with correctness in a fast team.
• Bonus: growth-specific infra such as referrals or onboarding tooling.
• Bonus: experience in small, high-autonomy engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the infrastructure layer growth engineers build atop onboarding, referrals and user acquisition pipelines.
• Debug reliability incidents on growth surfaces end-to-end and prevent recurrence.
• Review PRs for infrastructure soundness and scalability under higher traffic.
• Instrument data pipelines to surface bottlenecks before production.
• Coordinate with growth to decide when to harden vs. ship new systems.
• Set standards and patterns to avoid ad-hoc infra decisions across projects.
• Identify ambiguous systems between teams and drive improvements proactively.
