Job summary

The Trade Desk is transforming its infrastructure with a focus on service-oriented architecture. As a Senior Software Engineer in Infrastructure, you will build and maintain scalable, globally distributed services and contribute to self-service tooling and automation.

You’ll work with Kubernetes, Kafka, multiple cloud providers, and a growing server footprint while collaborating across teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean, maintainable code in TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting service-oriented applications.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Backstage; Kafka and Consul; cloud providers; Linux internals; and Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain in-house service oriented solutions at scale for a globally distributed system handling millions of requests per second.
• Help product teams ship more efficiently through automation, tools, and processes used by all teams at The Trade Desk.
• Improve observability and reliability by building self-service tooling and automation.
