Job summary

Genentech, a Roche company, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to tackle complex infrastructure challenges across platforms, compute, storage, network, and data center domains. You will influence technology strategy, mentor global teams, and ensure designs meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include end-to-end solution architecture, PoCs to evaluate new technologies, and collaboration with enterprise architects to align with business objectives in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in supporting and implementing complex data networks.
• Proven experience leading challenging projects and large teams.
• Proven track record architecting integrated, reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Experience estimating complex engineering resources and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and implement integrated infrastructure solutions with independent judgment.
• Develop innovative technological ideas and guide them into final products via PoCs.
• Communicate complex information to senior leaders and influence technology vendors.
• Lead enterprise-level projects aligning with regulatory standards and architecture.
• Lead geo-distributed teams and mentor staff across locations to optimize performance.
• Apply advanced technical principles across multiple Roche business areas.
