Job summary

Genentech seeks a senior leader to architect the long-term CDx and Clinical Platform Development strategy. You will align translational medicine with Roche Diagnostics and Foundation Medicine, driving regulatory and policy innovations while guiding a 6–8 person scientific team.

The role emphasizes strategic partnerships, advanced diagnostic modalities (IHC, PCR, NGS, liquid biopsy, digital pathology), and global collaboration across functions to accelerate biomarker-enabled therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in life sciences or related field.
• 12–15 years in biotech/pharma/diagnostics.
• 5+ years CDx/IVD development experience.
• 3+ years in people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement overarching CDx co-development strategy.
• Oversee strategic partnerships with diagnostic collaborators.
• Lead deployment of clinical platform development programs.
• Coordinate with regulatory and policy stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage a team of professionals.
