Job summary

Globus Medical in the United States seeks a Principal Infrastructure Architect to own end-to-end design of the on-prem core platform, decide technology within SVP standards, and drive vendor selection and capital proposals with executive accountability.

The role combines hands-on platform build with strategic leadership across data center, private cloud, DR, security, and operations handover to teams in the US and Chennai.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise infrastructure with data center scale leadership.
• Built or migrated a private cloud at scale (VMware exit or migration).
• Deep knowledge of enterprise server platforms, storage, backup, and networking.
• Designed and operated disaster recovery with multi-site replication and DR testing.
• Experience writing and defending capital requests and business cases.
• Clear writer who can explain architecture to executives in one page.
• Security baseline: segmentation, privileged access, logging, encryption.
• Comfortable collaborating with CISOs and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, end to end: define target and transition states for compute, storage, backup, and DR.
• Technology decisions: server, private cloud, storage, and network integration with SVP standards.
• The platform build: lead install, config, hardening, and acceptance of the Audubon platform and DR sites.
• Oracle and application landing: design platform for Oracle DB, SharePoint, Exchange, and data/AI stack.
• Backup and disaster recovery: define replication, retention, and annual DR exercises.
• Proposals and business cases: write technical sections for capex requests and business cases.
• Vendor selection and agreements: lead evaluation, PoC, BOMs, and contract terms.
• Standards and center of excellence: publish baselines and mentor engineers across sites.
• Security by design: implement segmentation, privileged access, and encryption.
• Operability: monitoring, capacity, patching, runbooks, and handover to operations.
