Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a seasoned Software & Information Platforms engineer to lead design and development of core platform services in a nationwide US role. You will mentor engineers, establish governance, and drive stability across cloud architectures and APIs while partnering with application development, infrastructure and architecture teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, complex project management, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust platform

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term stability and performance improvements
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
