Job summary

Healthmap Solutions is seeking a Director of Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering in the United States. You will lead a lean, high-output team, architecting core systems and building foundational code while driving strategy and regulatory compliance for healthcare data platforms.

You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform governance, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency across a multi-account environment. Travel minimal, impact high.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering
• 3-5 years in a leadership role (Lead, Manager, or Director) in a scale-up
• Healthcare infrastructure experience (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2) preferred
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Act as primary architect for cloud environment and high-volume clinical data systems
• Build out CI/CD templates, refine Kubernetes service mesh, migrate to future PaaS
• Prototype new platform features with automated compliance and self-service portals
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex architectural issues
• Sustain cloud/platform environments free of vulnerabilities and legacy code
• Grow and mentor cloud/platform engineers and conduct code reviews
• Define platform-as-a-product roadmap and automate regulatory guardrails
• Oversee FinOps and cloud budgeting with cost-saving measures
• Collaborate with Security/Compliance to automate HIPAA/HITRUST requirements
