Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Architect to own the end-to-end technical design of our on-premises core platform. You will set standards, author business cases for the CFO/CEO, lead vendor negotiations, and oversee build, migration, and first-year operation with decisive authority.

The role requires hands-on expertise in data center compute, virtualization, storage, backup, and DR, plus experience with Oracle/SQL workloads, private cloud, and security by design.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise infrastructure, with at least 5 years as the architect accountable for a data center scale platform end to end.
• Deep, current, hands on knowledge of enterprise server platforms (Lenovo, Dell, HPE), all flash storage (Pure, NetApp, Dell), backup and replication (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, or equivalent).
• Designed and operated disaster recovery that was actually exercised: multi site replication, recovery objectives per system, failover and failback, and immutable backup against ransomware.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, end to end. Define the target state and transition states for compute, virtualization, storage, backup, data protection, and DR across locations.
• Lead the design, installation, configuration, hardening, and acceptance of the Audubon platform and the Limerick recovery site; manage GPUs, private cloud, storage, backup and integration with networks.
• Write capital requests and business cases: options, costs over 3–5 years, risks, and a clear recommendation; present to CFO/CEO when asked.
