Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Sr. Information System Security Officer to support DoW SSP and multiple programs. The System ISSO will ensure proper accreditation, implement RMF security controls, and maintain secure operations for non-enterprise systems onsite at NSWC Crane, with travel to SPHQ or Field Activities.

Qualifications include a BS in Cybersecurity/CS/CE or equivalent, 5+ years of experience, Security+ (or equivalent), and the ability to obtain a TS/ CNWDI clearance. Travel 40%+ is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Ability to collaborate with large and highly competent technical teams.
• Strategic high-level thinking.
• Ability/experience with planning an initiative involving large-scale, networked systems.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/ CNWDI US Government Clearance. Interim Secret clearance required to start. US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret/ TS/ CNWDI Clearance.
• Willing and able to travel 40% or more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are accredited, and SOPs include required security procedures.
• Maintain residual cybersecurity risk within accepted levels.
• Develop, maintain, and update cybersecurity documentation.
• Implement SSP responses to DoW IAVAs and IAVBs.
• Initiate investigations for security events and implement corrective measures.
• Report security incidents to the branch ISSM with the UR.
• Develop and test incident response and contingency plans with URs.
• Participate in engineering reviews for systems under cognizance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare authorization packages and OQE.
• Develop System Security Plans detailing implemented controls.
• Oversee STIGs application and timely vulnerability scans.
• Evaluate deliverables and presentations.
