Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF/ATO activities for DoD/Navy programs at JB MDL, NJ. You will plan, develop, coordinate, and sustain RMF authorization packages and security controls.

The role requires hands-on cybersecurity experience, RMF, NIST standards, and DISA STIGs, with collaboration across government leadership and engineering teams to ensure secure accreditation and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of cybersecurity experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have Secret level or higher clearance.
• Strong RMF knowledge (NIST SP 800-37/800-53) and DISA STIGs/SRGs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and maintain RMF/ATO authorization packages.
• Serve as SME for DoD/DoN cybersecurity policies and compliance activities.
• Plan RMF authorization strategy including system categorization, control selection, and continuous monitoring.
• Coordinate with Government ISSM/ISSO, SCAs, AO representatives, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain RMF artifacts in eMASS (SSPs, SAPs, SARs, RARs, POA&Ms).
