Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to provide senior-level cybersecurity and information assurance support for classified systems supporting IC and DoD missions.

You will maintain and strengthen system security posture through security operations, risk and vulnerability assessments, configuration management, security documentation, and system authorization activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of ISSO/information security in IC/DoD environments.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining SSPs.
• Knowledge of RMF, security authorization, vulnerability assessment, and risk management.
• Familiar with customer security tools, policies and frameworks.
• Server, IA technologies, networking protocols and services knowledge.
• Experience with tools such as LatteArt, Biscotti, Xacata, STE/STN.
• Excellent communication with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security posture of classified IC/DoD information systems.
• Develop, maintain, and manage a high volume of SSPs.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and support mitigations.
• Support RMF and system authorization processes.
• Manage security configurations and assess changes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, frameworks, standards, procedures.
• Utilize customer security tools to support security and compliance.
• Collaborate with teams to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen security.
• Support security activities involving servers, IA technologies, networking protocols, and services.
