Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support Program Offices within DoD SSP. The ISSO will safeguard non-enterprise information systems for POR and S&T programs and travel regularly to SPHQ or Field Activities, onsite at NSWC Crane.

The ISSO will ensure the appropriate cybersecurity posture, define system security objectives, and assist in the security authorization package. A TS clearance and Security+ are required for this challenging role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity, CS, CE or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active US Government TS clearance (must be maintained).
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Willing and able to travel 40% or more.
• Ability to collaborate with large technical teams; strong strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are accredited and security procedures are in place.
• Maintain residual cybersecurity risk within acceptable levels.
• Develop, maintain, and update cybersecurity documentation.
• Implement SSP responses to DoD IAVAs/IAVBs.
• Initiate investigative procedures for security events and deploy corrective actions.
• Coordinate with SSP stakeholders and Program Offices; report incidents.
• Develop and test incident response and contingency plans; document results.
• Participate in engineering reviews for systems under cognizance.
• Develop System Security Plans and lifecycle plans; manage STIGs and scans.
