Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced security professional to help safeguard networks, systems, and data across a large enterprise. The role emphasizes risk assessment, policy enforcement, and vendor-enabled security solutions.

You will lead complex engineering reviews, oversee access controls, and mentor junior staff while supporting a flexible development culture and strong focus on learning and career growth.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in network, host, data and/or application security across multiple OS environments.
• Experience with IP networking, networking protocols and security technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, email and access-lists.
• Experience with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer Security Act).

Responsibilities

• Identify security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives.
• Develop, test and operate firewalls, intrusion detection systems and software deployment tools.
• Oversee user access processes to ensure security and password integrity.
• Develop assessments and enforce security policies, standards and guidelines.
• Perform product evaluations and test security architectures with vendor technologies.
• Review hardware/software changes affecting security and ensure compliance.
• Provide technical oversight and training on security directives and procedures.
• Assess business impact of information security incidents and report to senior management.
• Provide leadership to less experienced personnel.
