Job summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks an Information Security Officer (ISO) for a remote US-based role. The position focuses on leading security governance, remediation efforts, and audits to ensure contractual compliance and delivery excellence across security tooling and operations.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in risk management, audit or security delivery, with deep knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and FedRAMP. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential in a diverse, virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Ten years+ experience in risk management, audit, security or technical delivery.
• Experience with security regulations and auditing programs; leading audits and remediation.
• Experience with HIPAA, NIST, MARS-E/ARC-AMPE, and FedRAMP.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in diverse, virtual environments.
• Self-motivated, tenacious with sound judgment and integrity.
• Experience as a security consultant, architect and/or engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead security operational governance activities.
• Drive security remediation and SLA/SLO adherence.
• Ensure compliance and security in tooling and business operations.
• Manage security incidents from start to finish and audit remediation.
• Coordinate delivery of security metrics and reporting for contractual commitments.
• Escalate and resolve security issues and manage risk and exceptions.
