Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Project Planner/Scheduler to plan and schedule heavy industrial projects in Decatur, AL. The role requires coordinating with engineering and construction teams to forecast activities and manage costs, with a focus on safety and schedule integrity.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in planning, scheduling, and cost control, plus certifications such as AACE or PMI and proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant industrial planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of project controls principles and cost reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analyses for contract packages to forecast construction activities.
• Update schedules through meetings, field verifications and coordination interviews.
• Monitor Earned Value and change notice management; facilitate hearings.
• Develop construction estimates and maintain cost systems with reporting.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineering teams for constructability.
