Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician IV to join our operations & maintenance team in Rio Rancho, NM. This position begins as a three-month contract with potential extension and possible transition to a longer-term role based on performance.

The role requires advanced expertise in responding to work orders, diagnosing and repairing facility systems including HVAC, compressors, chillers, conveyors, and robotics in a large industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of maintenance experience in HVAC/industrial mechanical repair or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet in aerial lifts.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, pumps, conveyors, and robotics.
• Perform electrical/mechanical maintenance and safety compliance.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and rigging as needed.
• Document work in CMMS and propose efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with team and meet production schedules.
