Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment. You will leverage predictive maintenance data, diagnose complex control systems, and contribute to CI initiatives while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires a technical associate degree or equivalent experience, strong electrical/mechanical understanding, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.
• Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, locating root causes and repairing parts.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items; evaluates alternatives for cost/reliability.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards.
• Works with Planner Scheduler to optimize preventative maintenance procedures.
• May setup and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding tasks.
• Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Leads, drives and participates in CI activities with cost savings using CI tools.
• Provides assistance to lower level technicians and mentors project teams.
• Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems; resolves software/hardware issues.
• Uses predictive maintenance data to observe trends and make recommendations.
• Updates CMMS records and reviews history.
• Completes on-the-job training and self-study for career development.
• Follows safety policies and identifies unsafe conditions.
