Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, perform field investigations, liaise with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages.

You will also lead development of conceptual designs, calculations, AFDs, P&IDs, and final construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines. This role requires a strong HVAC background and collaborative remote work ability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HVAC design experience for industrial facilities.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
