Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients.

You will perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages, while coordinating with other disciplines. We offer a hybrid work model with opportunities across U.S. locations and a base salary range.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
