Job summary

The Weitz Company in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Sr. Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Industrial Business Unit.

You will build and nurture client relationships, pursue opportunities, and guide proposals and presentations to win new business in the commercial construction market. You will lead strategic efforts, coordinate with the BD team, and help shape plans based on market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, construction management, or business.
• Five years of experience in the construction industry required; ten+ years in business development is preferred.
• Strong communication, PR, and relationship-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Pursue and develop relationships with current and potential clients to generate new business.
• Research economic trends and construction markets to inform strategy and proposals.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and marketing materials; coordinate with BD team.
• Maintain and expand networks with designers, real estate groups, civic groups, and related firms.
• Support strategic planning, advertising, and public relations as needed.
