Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in Houston seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial EPC construction projects onsite with 70% travel. You will oversee from preconstruction through closeout and serve as the primary liaison with clients, leadership, field operations, and subcontractors.

The role requires 10+ years in relevant construction, with strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and safety, plus PMP and OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, utility, or EPC construction, including at least 5 years managing complex, large-scale construction projects with significant financial and operational responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading multimillion-dollar electrical or mechanical construction projects, preferably within data centers, cryptocurrency mining facilities, oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, power generation, industrial plants, or other large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical construction disciplines (Electrical: power distribution; Mechanical: piping, HVAC, pumps, etc.).
• Advanced understanding of contracts, cost forecasting, scheduling, procurement, risk mitigation, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for the successful execution of large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgets, cash flow, profitability, change management, and financial reporting; identify risks and take corrective actions.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with objectives, schedules, and contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, owners, general contractors, and key stakeholders; serve as primary contact for performance, negotiations, and issue resolution.
• Oversee scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, material management, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, codes, quality requirements, and contractual specs; promote proactive safety culture.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and engineers; drive process improvements and growth.
