RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks an Industrial Engineer to support the Effectors factory network in Tucson, AZ. You will analyze labor performance, balance lines, plan capacity, layout factories, and apply continuous improvement to maximize throughput and value.

You will use CAD and simulation tools to model processes, lead cross-functional teams, and influence roadmaps and investment strategies. A DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws or 6 years with a Master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience applying industrial engineering tools and methodologies including Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, and Process Optimization.

Responsabilités

• Model factory operations by generating process flows and value stream maps to illustrate production processes and key performance indicators.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and meet cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting improvement proposals and planning integration of new products and equipment.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address obsolescence, improve performance, and drive growth.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
