Job summary

RTX seeks an Industrial Engineer to support DoD and aerospace programs in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on improving throughput, efficiency, and value delivery through labor analyses, process mapping, line balancing, capacity planning, and layout optimization.

You will work with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvements, new product integration, and safety enhancements, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant industrial engineering experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, and Process Optimization
• Ability to obtain program-specific clearances as needed
• Ability to obtain ATF clearance

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, and diagrams
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and delivery
• Lead roadmaps and proposals for infrastructure improvements and new product integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and performance
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics
