Job summary

Getinge in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to lead DFM/DFSS efforts for medical devices. You will influence product architecture, drive cost-optimized tooling, and guide process validation and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

You will apply DOE/DFSS and Lean/Six Sigma methods to develop scalable, robust manufacturing processes, support pilot runs, and ensure compliance with FDA/ISO quality systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• Proven experience in DFM, process development and product industrialization.
• Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred) or Green Belt.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM/DFSS design reviews, tolerance analyses, and cost-focused tooling strategies.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturing specifications and processes.
• Support prototype builds and pilot manufacturing with corrective actions.
• Drive large-scale IQ/OQ/PQ validations and continuous improvement initiatives.
