Job summary
A leading global medical technology company seeks a product and process design expert to drive medical device projects. This role requires technical leadership, managing manufacturing strategies to ensure high-quality production standards. Successful applicants will have a strong background in engineering with a focus on DFMA principles and experience in highly regulated industries. The position is based in Covington, Georgia, and involves around 25% travel, requiring close cooperation with R&D and Operations teams.
Qualifications
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field and 10 years' experience.
5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering in Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.
Demonstrated experience in process validation and writing protocols.
Responsibilities
Define manufacturing technology strategy for new products and manage pilot lines.
Lead engineering efforts and guide in design for manufacturability.
Collaborate with R&D to ensure designs align with manufacturability.
Skills
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of design software
Excellent technical skills including project management
Ability to analyze data and write reports
Experience with manual and semi-automated production lines
Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
MBA or MS in Engineering
