Job summary

BD is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to drive manufacturing process development and assembly solutions for new product introductions. You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure design for manufacturability, quality, and scalability.

The role requires deep DFMA expertise, process development leadership, and experience in a medical device or regulated environment to launch innovative products with robust automation strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or product design within regulated industries.
• Proven ability to apply DFMA principles to product and process development.
• Experience leading industrialization initiatives from concept to commercialization.
• Experience in process validation, writing protocols and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFMA strategy for new products and design changes for manufacturing transfer.
• Partner with R&D to influence design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost.
• Define scalable manufacturing processes, equipment concepts and assembly methods.
• Build pilot lines and establish efficient processes meeting performance targets.
• Support manufacturing transfer activities and factory readiness.
• Present technical data and progress to stakeholders at multiple levels.
