Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer to support the design and execution of complex electrical projects in industrial facilities. This senior individual-contributor role focuses on delivering electrical deliverables for chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, and power facilities.

You will lead electrical design, calculations, and specifications, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and provide startup support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
6+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of the NEC.
Experience with medium-voltage systems up to 15kV.
Experience developing electrical specifications, calculations, and construction packages.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for industrial facilities from concept through construction.
Prepare and review medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, one-line diagrams, MCC layouts and layouts.
Perform electrical engineering calculations including load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit studies, conduit sizing, lighting calculations.
Develop equipment specifications for switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, motors, and substations.
Coordinate with instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines.
Review vendor drawings, equipment submittals, and construction packages.
Conduct site visits, field investigations, tie-in verification, and startup support activities.
Develop construction packages, material take-offs, schedules, and engineering estimates.
Serve as the lead electrical engineer for assigned projects and mentor engineering staff.
Provide technical guidance to engineering and design personnel.
