Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to design complex projects and lead small to mid-sized efforts. You will develop equipment specifications, installation details, and control schematics while ensuring adherence to NEC, OSHA, and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred OR EIT completed.
• 8+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
• Experience leading small capital projects from design through construction while staying hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of electrical and instrumentation engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications and electrical installation specifications.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
• Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Check calculations for conformance to codes, specs and good engineering practice.
• Collaborate with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure smooth project flow.
• Lead small to mid-sized projects and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
