The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Manager II for our Industrial team in Des Moines, IA. The role requires strong project management discipline, risk control, and collaboration to deliver competitive results while ensuring safety and quality.

You will manage schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, coordinate with subs, and participate in preconstruction and marketing activities. A minimum seven years of PM experience and LEAN exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an industry-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience.
• LEAN principles experience desirable; OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., JDE, Procore, Bluebeam).
• MS Office proficiency; ability to learn company standards and tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract terms and ensure work stays within scope.
• Own risk management and mitigation for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with the team to meet goals and implement quality programs.
• Create and manage schedules, identify long lead items, adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure insurance, bonds and change orders are in place before execution.
