Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead industrial and power/utility construction efforts, overseeing one large project or several smaller ones.

You will manage project engineers, superintendents, and foremen to meet schedule and budget while liaising with clients and regulatory agencies. Required 8+ years of construction experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; PE is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PE credentialing is not required but is a strong plus.
• 8+ years' experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
• Open to other large construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilities and authority.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project; recruits or assigns project personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, resources.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules/plans as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understands and executes CPM-based project schedules.
• Monitor/control construction through on-site supervision to ensure safety, schedule and budget compliance.
• Represent company in Owner progress meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and project profitability or loss.
• Lead project team in daily field coordination, weekly block schedule, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
• Mentor and assist with career development of other team members.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
